A Day In Nice
Last Thursday, on the 14th July, a lorry drove along the Nice promenade, killing 86 people and injuring over 400. I had planned to go on the weekend of the 16th, but instead re-arranged to go the following Wednesday as I assumed parts of the city would still be closed of.
I took the train from Toulon, spent the morning in Monaco, and then came back to Nice for lunch and the afternoon. I began with a walk through the old town to the seafront where I then carried on along the Promenade des Anglais to find some lunch. After dipping my feet in the water and watching young locals jump off the rocks into the sea, I caught the elevator up to Les Ponchettes, a spot with the most wonderful views over Nice!
